They partnered with us to bring in the design, frontend, and backend expertise needed to shape and build their MVP.

Their founding team had deep experience in Python and Amazon AWS, and they needed:

  • A trusted frontend and NodeJS lead who could go beyond implementation—someone to scope the MVP, shape the UI around real use cases, and make strategic decisions
  • A product-minded engineer with startup experience—able to guide tool choices, recommend development methodologies, and integrate seamlessly into the team
  • A communicator who could clearly explain decisions, advocate for best practices, and support the team in building confidence and autonomy
  • A flexible partner who could share knowledge, support founders directly, and bring in additional talent (SREs, backend engineers, AI specialists) as needed

Over the course of our 7-month collaboration, we:

  • Designed the MVP and laid the foundation for heavy graph based analysis for AI-powered features to follow
  • Led the frontend and NodeJS backend development with a mix of hands-on work, technical strategy, and product thinking
  • Scoped and shaped the MVP in collaboration with the team, making thoughtful decisions on the tech stack and implementation
  • Brought in trusted SRE, backend, and AI specialists to support strategic decisions and unblock technical challenges

As a result, the team successfully launched a working MVP. Throughout the process, we stayed in close communication with the founders to fully understand the what and the why—their vision, priorities, and product goals. This gave us the clarity to take ownership of the how: scoping, designing, and building the solution with users and long-term value in mind.

With this setup, the founders were able to focus on pitching, refining the product roadmap, and hiring in-house developers, without getting pulled into day-to-day design or frontend execution. We moved forward independently, aligned on purpose, and helped establish strong internal processes as their team grew.

They are now independently moving into their next fundraising round, occasionally reaching out to us for short-term support with new features or design challenges. We are excited to be able to reveal the company name and product shortly.

This kind of partnership—where we guide, build, and enable teams to thrive on their own—is exactly the work we love doing.
